We hope you and your family are doing well! Please mark your calendars and save the date of October 25th, 2024. It is that time of year for the annual Chapman Invitational Golf Tournament! Once again the tournament proceeds will benefit charitable organizations that focus on childcare and educational initiatives. The Chapman Invitational Golf Tournament has successfully raised over $800,000.00 for local charitable organizations such as:
• Early Education and Care
• Boys and Girls Clubs
• Panama City Marine Institute
• Chautauqua Learn and Serve
• Bay Education Foundation
As many of you are aware the tournament has always honored the late Gladys Chapman. She was a school teacher for many years before she became Supervisor of Elections. She believed strongly in the power of education and often spoke about all that education made possible in her life. The tournament was established by her son, Joseph F. Chapman, III with the vision to honor his mother’s work by giving back to local youth and education-related organizations.
With the passing of Mr. Chapman in December of 2016, the Chapman Invitational will now honor them both. The importance of education. youth, and helping those in need are values that were reflected in both Joe and his mother. Through the tournament, we will continue to honor their dedication to this community.
If you’ve participated in the event in the past, we want to thank you for contributing to making our tournament a tradition and a success. We look forward to renewing friendships at this year’s event as well as welcoming newcomers to the tournament.
